Reservation & Stay Policies
- Guarantee: To guarantee your reservation, a 25% deposit of the total quoted services is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid 22 days prior to arrival. Payment can be made via bank deposit or payment link. Reservations are not confirmed until proof of payment is verified by the Accounting Department. 22 days before arrival, Montaña de Fuego Resort & Spa will charge the TOTAL AMOUNT of the reservation.
- Check-in & Check-out: Check-in from 3:00 p.m. | Check-out until 12:00 m.d. At check-in, you must present a valid ID. Credit/debit cards will be authorized to cover your stay, extra services, or incidental charges.
- Modifications & Cancellations: Any modification is subject to hotel availability and must be confirmed in writing by the Reservations Department (reservaciones@montanadefuego.com). Changes made 15 days or less prior to arrival will incur a $35 administrative fee. Cancellations made 22 days before arrival are not penalized but have a $35 administrative charge. Cancellations made 21 days or less, or No-shows, will be charged 100% of the reservation.
- Groups & Agencies: Group reservations (10+ rooms) require a 25% deposit at booking and full payment 22 days before arrival. Blockings have a 60-day cut-off. Unpaid reservations will be automatically cancelled. Agencies guaranteeing bookings must provide a credit card. Group stays of 1-2 nights must acquire lunch or dinner.
- Festive Dates: Minimum 3 nights stay required during Christmas, New Year (Dec 16 – Jan 3), and Easter Week (Apr 13 – 19, 2025). Mandatory Christmas and New Year dinners: $75 + VAT + 10% per person.
- Children Policies: • General Policy: 0-4 years free sharing with parents | 5-9 years $30 | 10+ years pay adult rate. • December 24th: 0-2 years Free | 3-5 years $40 | 6-11 years $60. • December 31st: 0-2 years Free | 3-5 years $50 | 6-11 years $80.
- Meal Packages: Buffet style meals are served at: Breakfast 6:30 – 9:30 a.m. | Lunch 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. | Dinner 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. Mandatory dinners will be charged directly at the hotel.
- Early Departure: Early departure will be penalized with 100% of the remaining stay. Changes to departure date may be made without penalty if notified before the end of arrival day.
- Tobacco Policy : All rooms and public areas are non-smoking. A USD 200 cleaning fee will apply for violations.
- Exchange Rate: All charges are in USD but may be converted to colones at the hotel’s exchange rate. Banks/credit cards may apply additional conversion fees.
- Pet Friendly Policy: Pets allowed with $50 per night fee. $200 deposit or card hold required. Non-compliance with pet policies will result in automatic charges.
